Singapore’s Shannon Tan is back on the Ladies European Tour (LET) having won the Order of Merit in 2025.
The 21-year-old will be teeing it up in the season-opening event – the 2026 PIF Saudi Ladies International – which is being staged at Riyadh Golf Club from 11-14 February.
Tan, who secured the Order of Merit title at the final event in Spain, became the first Singaporean to win the coveted crown.
After taking some time off over the winter break, the three-time LET winner has been to Australia to finetune her game.
“I had two weeks off after Q-Series last year,” she said. “I felt that was mandatory after a long season last year. I saw my family at home and spent Christmas and New Year there.
“I went to Australia for about three weeks after that and saw my coach and my gym trainer. We looked at what happened last year, I worked on those things and grinded it out in January and now we’re here. I played a few rounds at Kooyonga which is going to host the Australian Women’s Open in March. I got to see that course three times which is nice.”

The 2026 PIF Saudi Ladies International is the opening event on the LET for the first-time ever in a season which will see players compete for more than €40 million across the 2026 season.
The $5 million USD event will see 120 players compete in a 72-hole stroke play competition, with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.
Tan, who has plenty of experience at Riyadh Golf Club, has been tweaking her game ahead of this season.
She explained: “I really like the PIF Global Series. PIF has been very supportive to women’s golf, the field is always really strong and the purse is great. It’s an event I always look forward to in my schedule.
“I’ve played here several times, so I know what to expect here. I have been working on things in the off-season that I know will help going into this week. Long hitters get an advantage, so I’ve been trying to get more speed and hitting it as hard as I can and not caring where it goes.
“I’m so cautious about how straight I hit it, so I’m getting used to just hitting it fast and trying to gain some yardage which will be an advantage. For the short game, the rough is going to be quite tough and sticky. It’s knowing how to change the face.”
Tan will get her 2026 campaign underway at 8.07 am (local time) alongside Korea’s Hye-Jin Choi and Japan’s Akie Iwai.
