TAN HAPPY TO SEE PROGRESS IN HER GAME

Shannon Tan

Shannon Tan was pleased with the improvements in her game across the three Ladies European Tour (LET) events in May.

The 2025 LET Order of Merit winner had only played four events so far on the LET before this stretch due to playing in a few LPGA Tour events including her home open and the Chevron Championship.

However, the Singaporean was able to play three events in a row in May and produced good results across the board.

Tan began with a T14 finish at the Amundi German Masters, where she entered the week as defending champion, before a solo eighth place at the Lalla Meryem Cup.

The 22-year-old ended the stretch with a runner-up finish at the Jabra Ladies Open de France after rounds of 70-69-69 at Evian Resort.

“This three-week stretch has been different for me compared to the whole year because it’s the first time that I’ve played three in a row,” she said. “The most I had was two events and then I had Chevron Championship and HSBC in Singapore, so I’ve not really had much time on the LET.

“I’m glad to finally be able to play three weeks in a row. It shows that I feel I’ve not played well but I still have had two top-10s and 14th in Germany. It shows how my game is slowly progressing in that way. I’m happy to be back in Europe, I quite like European courses and think it suits me. I’m happy to be back here.”

Tan also finished as runner-up at Evian in 2025 but was once again pleased to play consistently well around the challenging course.

Despite not playing her best, she was able to identify parts of her game which had improved and what still needs working on.

She continued: “I would say I left a lot of shots out there, I missed another short putt today, so that’s two soft bogeys over the past two days. That’s two shots and then I missed a few more six-footers, but that’s the part of my game I’ve really been trying to clean up the past month or so.

“I saw that in this week, Morocco and Germany where I couldn’t really make anything six feet and below. The good side is the 10-15 footers are better and I’m gaining one or two shots per round, so that’s something good to see. If I can get everything on the right track at some point that would be great. Overall, under-par at Evian I would take it because you need to play decent to put a score up.”
