A 17-year-old from Thailand, a former UCLA standout and a pair of co-medalists in Texas headline three days of Pre-Qualifying across three sites
The first stage of the 2026 LPGA Qualifying Series is complete. After three rounds at Indian Wells Golf and Country Club in California, LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, and TPC Houston in Sugar Land, Texas, 104 athletes are moving on to the Qualifying Stage next month. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Achiraya Sriwong put on a show in Daytona Beach
The 17-year-old from Thailand won at LPGA International by five strokes at 16-under 200. That was the lowest winning total and the largest margin across all three sites. Her second-round 65 stood out on a day when the field averaged 74.397, the toughest scoring round of the week at any site. Sriwong is already a four-time winner on the THAI LPGA Tour, won the 2026 APGC Junior Championship girls’ title by five, and has played in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Maria Bohorquez finished second at 11-under.
2. Tiffany Le was a model of consistency at Indian Wells
Le, a 23-year-old from Covina, California, posted three straight 5-under 67s to reach 15-under 201 and edge Kristyna Napoleaova by one stroke. The former UCLA and UC Riverside player was the first golfer in UC Riverside history to reach the NCAA Championships. She arrives in strong form after two runner-up finishes on the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour this season.
3. Two players shared medalist honors in Houston
Alison Muirhead and amateur Manassanan Chotikabhukkana tied at TPC Houston at 10-under 206. Muirhead, 27, was born in South Africa, lives in Dubai and represents Scotland. Her family’s golf roots go back to Troon Golf Club, where her great-great-grandfather was a captain. She first joined the Epson Tour in 2020. Chotikabhukkana, known as “Baibua” from her time at Tennessee, opened with a 9-under 63, the lowest round at the Houston site. She leaves Knoxville holding the program record for career rounds at par or better.
4. Amateurs made their mark
Eight top-ranked and notable amateurs advanced: Manassanan Chotikabhukkana, Eila Galitsky, Taylor Kehoe, Arianna Lau, Marie Madsen, Tsukiha Nakashima, Chloe Schiavone and Donina Zhou. Galitsky finished third at LPGA International, Madsen third at TPC Houston, and Nakashima fifth at Indian Wells.
5. Who advanced, and what’s at stake next?
The top 40 and ties at Indian Wells, the top 34 and ties at LPGA International and the top 25 and ties at TPC Houston advanced. The Qualifying Stage runs October 13-16 at Plantation Golf and Country Club’s Bobcat and Panther courses in Venice, Florida. Players who complete all 72 holes there but don’t advance to Final Qualifying will earn Epson Tour status based on their finish. At Final Qualifying in November, the top 25 and ties will earn 2027 LPGA Tour status, and everyone who completes at least four rounds will secure 2027 Epson Tour status.
