STACKED FIELD COMPETE FOR U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN SPOTS AT THE BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

An abundance of Ladies European Tour (LET) stars will vie for a spot at the 81st U.S. Women’s Open on Monday as the Major’s European Qualifier takes place at the Buckinghamshire in England.

One of 26 qualifiers for the prestigious tournament, and the only in Europe, 50 players will tee up in the 36-hole event on May 11th with two places up for grabs.

The field is comprised of 47 professionals, including 44 LET members, as well as 3 amateur players.

Notable names taking to the fairways at the Buckinghamshire – the home of the LET – include Order of Merit leader Agathe Laisne – a two-time champion already in 2026 – as well as fellow winners Smilla Tarning Soenderby, Trichat Cheenglab, Alexandra Försterling, Olivia Cowan, Cara Gainer, Bronte Law, Morgane Metraux and Meghan MacLaren.

The likes of Luna Sobron Galmes, Amelia Garvey, Alessandra Fanali and Annabell Fuller are also in action. The full field can be found here.

Play gets underway on Monday morning at 7:45am local time. The second round will then take place in the afternoon with the same groupings. The draw for rounds one and two can be found here.

After 36 holes – or more if a playoff is required – the top two players will earn a spot in the field for the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally. Two alternate spaces will also be contended for at the Buckinghamshire.

The second Major of the year takes place at The Riviera Country Club between June 4-7. Canada’s Anna Huang successfully earned her place last week at the Somerset Country Club Qualifier.

You can follow scoring for the event on the LET website. More information about U.S. Women’s Open Qualifying can also be found via the USGA website.
