With three events completed on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in April, it’s time once again to cast your vote for the April Player of the Month award.
April saw the 2026 LET schedule continue with the Aramco Championship in Las Vegas followed by the Joburg Ladies Open and Investec SA Women’s Open in South Africa.
The Player of the Month award, which was introduced in 2025, sees LET commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker decided upon four nominees based on performances during the month.
April 2026 Player of the Month shortlist
Agathe Laisne (France)
Wins: 1

What a start to 2026 it has been for France’s Agathe Laisne who found herself lifting an LET trophy again, just a few weeks after hoisting her first in Australia. The Frenchwoman made an eagle on the 14th and birdie on 17th in the final round to put herself in a playoff at the Joburg Ladies Open. After five holes, Laisne rolled in a birdie to win and send herself to the top of the Order of Merit.
Expert opinion: “For the second time this season, Agathe Laisne has been nominated for Player of the Month and for good reason after an incredible win at the Joburg Ladies Open for the French player. She looked out of it but came up with some big moments over the stretch to somehow get into a playoff where she saw off the home favourite Casandra Alexander and Kirsten Rudgeley in near darkness to end April top of the Order of Merit.”
Cara Gainer (England)
Top-10s: 2

Consistency was the key word for England’s Cara Gainer in South Africa as she put herself into contention twice. After a solid result in a competitive Joburg Ladies Open where she finished in a share of fifth place, the LET winner headed to Cape Town and improved once again. Gainer came up just short ending the week in solo second place to round out a successful fortnight in South Africa.
Expert opinion: “Cara Gainer had a strong April in South Africa recording two top-5 finishes. The highlight being a runner-up result at the Investec SA Women’s Open. She moves into the LET Order of Merit top 10 alongside four other English players.”
Esme Hamilton (England)
Wins: 1

In her first full season on the LET, England’s Esme Hamilton has already got her hands on a trophy. The 26-year-old was a rookie in 2025 where she made the most of her limited starts to give herself full status for this year. Hamilton remained composed during testing conditions in Cape Town to clinch her maiden LET victory.
Expert opinion: “To show how far Esme Hamilton has come, a year ago she couldn’t even get a start in the events in the African swing. Not only did the English golfer play this time, but she also picked up a first LET trophy – the Investec SA Women’s Open. With a confident, mature, and assured display shooting the equal low round of the day on both Saturday and Sunday to be surrounded at the end by congratulations from her peers.”
Lauren Coughlin (United States of America)
Wins: 1

Lauren Coughlin proved to be unstoppable in the desert as she stormed to a five-stroke victory at the 2026 Aramco Championship. In the co-sanctioned event between the LPGA and LET, the Solheim Cup winner conquered Shadow Creek producing a wire-to-wire win which saw her lift her second LET trophy.
Expert opinion: “Lauren Coughlin hit the jackpot in Vegas. A dominant win at the Aramco Championship, five shots over world number one Nelly Korda, gave LC her third LPGA and second LET win of her career.”
