Sára Kouskova participated in a panel on Thursday 13 February 2025 as part of the Sustained Futures Women’s Academy at the PIF Saudi Ladies International at Riyadh Golf Club.
Sustained Futures academy presented by PIF in partnership with United Nations Global Compact Saudi Arabia hosted 52 young women and local students from King Saud University, Prince Sultan University, Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University and King Khalid Foundation.
Activities throughout the afternoon were focussed on discussions, workshops and promotion of green skills for Vision 2030 in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals; career opportunities and pathways into sustainability; empowerment and leadership in the workplace and biodiversity walks on course discussing nature and mental health.
Additionally, there was a panel discussion later in the day with GEO Foundation’s Sustainable Golf Champion Sára Kouskova alongside LET Commercial Director Theresa McCann, Dr Lujain Osabi from the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, Lora Alsadran from the UN Global Compact Network Saudi Arabia and Layan Albraik who is a Saudi Youth Ambassador from the AFS Youth Assembly.
The panellists discussed their career paths so far before moving onto how they champion and think about sustainability in their current jobs, and finally, they talked about their motivation before opening it up to questions.
Speaking about the event, Kouskova said: “It was such an inspiring afternoon! I had a wonderful time talking to the young women about my career and sustainability and being part of the panel. I could see the passion in their eyes, and they were really engaged with the topic.”
The Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LET Access Series (LETAS) is committed to recognising and promoting great sustainable work being done by the LET community as part of the Tour’s initiative LET Celebrating the Green in partnership with GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf.
