Germany’s Leonie Harm has won the May Player of the Month award for the 2026 season following her maiden Ladies European Tour (LET) victory on home soil.
The award, which was introduced in 2025, highlights and showcases the brilliant performances from our elite athletes seen on fairways across the globe.
Voted for by fans on the LET’s app and website, Harm was shortlisted by commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker. The 27-year-old was nominated alongside Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby, Canada’s Anna Huang, and Germany’s Helen Briem.
The nominees were announced on Wednesday last week and voting concluded on Tuesday 9 June with Harm securing her first Player of the Month accolade and she becomes the first German win the award.
Harm clinched her first LET title in style rolling in birdies on the 17th and 18th holes on the North Course at Green Eagle Golf Courses to win on home soil in Hamburg.
The German star has a story for the ages having survived a car crash, overcome bereavement, worked in vaccine development and nearly quit professional golf at the end of 2024.
“I have already felt overwhelmed by all the love and care from everyone around me,” said Harm. “Celebrating my maiden win in such a meaningful way, in front of a home crowd, was way better than I could have ever imagined it.
“Being voted as Player of the Month means a lot because it shows how much my adventurous journey has resonated with a lot of people and maybe even inspired some to use their challenges as opportunities to grow. I can’t wait to see where the rest of the season will take me.”
Harm follows in the footsteps of Thailand’s April Angurasaranee, Australia’s Hannah Green and England’s Esme Hamilton, who have won the awards so far in 2026.
