HALL HAPPY TO START COMEBACK ON THE LET IN EVIAN

Georgia Hall

Major winner Georgia Hall returned to elite competition this week just a few months after the birth of her first child.

The English star is playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at the 2026 Jabra Ladies Open de France staged at Evian Resort.

Hall who is aiming to play at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham St Anne’s, where she won in 2018, and began her comeback this week.

The two-time LET winner opened with a round of 73 (+2) on day one and then followed that up with a 70 (-1) to be in T25 heading into the final day.

Hall has already learnt a lot from this week about her game just from the few days she has been back in competition mode in France.

“It feels like I never really left which is good,” she said. “I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel but obviously coming back to a familiar venue for me. I love coming back to play on the LET – it’s where I started my golf. I thought it was a great place to start my comeback.

“I played my last event at Centurion Club – PIF London Championship and literally only played once or twice after that. Then I had six months off because I thought I’d take this break. I think six weeks after giving birth I picked up a club.

“I underestimated how hard it is/was to have a child and just the toll it takes on your body. I would have lost my mind being at home all the time. I’m happy to be back doing what I love.

“My body’s not back to where it was and I’ve been working really hard to get it back to what it is now. I’m still struggling on a couple of areas, but it’s improving for sure. I’m happy I haven’t lost any distance which I’m very pleased about.

“I let a lot of shots go which I didn’t know how I was going to play. I thought I was playing alright coming into this and until you have a card in your hand, you don’t really know.

“I’ve had a couple of changes already with some parts of my game which I figured out weren’t right. I’m happy to get to play tomorrow and try and jump up the leaderboard a bit. It’s really just to assess where my game is at the moment. I’m not really looking to win it or anything, as I’ve just come back.”
