ALL TO PLAY FOR ON FINAL WEEK OF QUALIFICATION FOR 2026 EUROPEAN SOLHEIM CUP TEAM

The 2026 AIG Women’s Open is the final qualification event for the 2026 European Solheim Cup team.

Team Europe will comprise of the top two players in the European Solheim Cup points standings, the top six players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, and four captain’s picks.

Captain Anna Nordqvist will announce her picks live on Sky Sports on August 3 following the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open.

With just one week remaining, England’s Charley Hull continues to lead the points standings with 232.93 points to her name.

Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini is in second with 133.10 points and Germany’s Helen Briem is just 1.1 points behind the Swiss star in third.

Following a top 10 performance at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, Ireland’s Leona Maguire has moved up to 12th place in the points standings.

As of today, the Rolex Rankings spots are taken by England’s Lottie Woad (number five), Sweden’s Maja Stark (number 25), France’s Celine Boutier (number 30), Germany’s Esther Henseleit (number 43), Spain’s Carlota Ciganda (number 47) and Sweden’s Linn Grant (number 50).

The 2026 AIG Women’s Open has elevated points on offer with the victor receiving 100 points if they are European and an LET member.
