Cassandra’s Charity T-Shirts Launch at Evian

cass250Ladies European Tour member Cassandra Kirkland is launching a new range of printed T-shirts at this week’s Evian Championship in France, inspired by her fight against lung cancer.

Cassandra’s fighting spirit is encapsulated in the slogan: F#@* CANCER and proceeds from the sales during the championship will be donated to the official tournament charity: Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-en ! (Breast Cancer – let’s talk about it!).

After winning the 2012 Sanya Ladies Open in China, Cassandra was diagnosed with cancer in April 2015 and the 30-year-old from Paris, who has never smoked, is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

She said: “I am so pleased that this historic major championship in my home country will be a platform for informing, communicating, sharing and conquering cancer. Golf has made me stronger as a person and more capable of dealing with my own situation so I hope to make a lasting contribution and help others.”

There is already huge media interest in the project and Cassandra has the support of several high profile celebrities from the worlds of sport and entertainment who will be wearing the t-shirt during and after the tournament.

The first edition white t-shirts will be on sale for 39 euros and after the Evian Championship, a wider range of t-shirts and polo shirts in various colours will be available to buy from her website, cassandrakirkland.com.
