olafia2762Ladies European Tour Rookie Ólafía Kristinsdóttir from Iceland took time out from her preparations for the Tipsport Golf Masters to see the beautiful sights of the Czech capital Prague on the eve of the tournament on Thursday.

The 23-year-old from Reykjavik admired the view of the Charles Bridge across the River Vltava and visited the famous Old Town, taking in the Astronomical Clock and the St. Vitus Cathedral.

“I had a great time in a beautiful city with very friendly people and I am also really enjoying my time in Pilsen, another incredible historic city,” said Kristinsdóttir, who enjoys photography, baking and playing the guitar.

The Tipsport Golf Masters at Golf Park Pilsen is her second LET tournament of 2016 after she missed the cut on her debut at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.  Previously, she played two seasons on the LET Access Series where her best finish was fifth in the ASGI Ladies Open in Switzerland.

Aside from her professional career, Kristinsdóttir was a multiple Icelandic national champion who graduated with a degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship from Wake Forest University, where she played on the golf team, following in the footsteps of Cheyenne Woods, who she lists as the greatest influence on her career.
