Boutier, Klatten and Lee receive Evian Championship Wild Cards

The organising committee of the Evian Championship has awarded the three final wild cards. Amateurs Minjee Lee, world n° 1 and Céline Boutier, French  n° 1  as well as France’s Joanna Klatten who is presently playing in the US, complete the field of 120 players ready to compete at the fifth and final Major of the season from next Thursday.

The Wild Cards: Performances Rewarded

Along with Caroline Afonso, whose strong performance in the Qualifications round last June was crowned by the first wild card, three other players have just received the precious entry ticket: the amateur Australian Minjee Lee, No. 1 ranking World amateur; the French amateur Céline Boutier, French  n° 1, No. 5 in the worldwide amateur rankings and recently voted best college player of the year in the USA; and French professional Joanna Klatten, one of Europe’s best right now in the American circuit (99th on the Money List, LPGA Tour), a rookie on the American circuit in 2014.

The field of 120 players is now nearly complete; all that remains is one place that will be awarded to the winner of Helsingborg Open on the Ladies European Tour.
