LAISNE EXCITED TO TEE IT UP ON HOME SOIL AT JABRA LADIES OPEN DE FRANCE

Agathe Laisné

Agathe Laisné is relishing competing on home soil in the Jabra Ladies Open de France at Evian Resort Golf Club.

The Frenchwoman has had a phenomenal Ladies European Tour (LET) season to date securing two victories, two top-5 finishes and four further top-35 results.

Laisné, who sits second in the LET Order of Merit, is looking forward to the week ahead at the challenging Evian.

“I’ll still play my game and my strategy,” she said. “I know the course pretty well because I’ve played it many times, so I’m happy it’s now the Open de France, it makes it even better for the fans and the players I think. I’m excited for the week because I have a great view all week in the mountains.

“I think it’s a good golf course because you have to do everything well. Off the tee and the second shots into the greens are very important because you have a lot of plateaus. I would say most importantly is hitting into the greens, and putting, obviously because this course is having a lot of slopes.”

Having had such a successful 2026 so far, Laisné is enjoying the freedom of being able to pick and choose her schedule for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old has already secured her spot at the 2026 AIG Women’s Open and is in pole position to also clinch a spot at The Amundi Evian Championship.

Despite having won twice, Laisné is still working hard and believes her game is in a good spot after finishing T17 at last week’s Lalla Meryem Cup.

“It’s been great,” she continued. “I’ve had good success, so I’m not complaining. It’s been very good. I’ve been lucky to win two times, but we’ll see how it ends up and I’ll try to work as hard as I can and build on confidence. It felt great in Morocco. A little disappointing on the putting, but we know the greens are very tricky there, so it’s okay. I think the game is good, and we’ll see.

“At the beginning of the season, I didn’t think much and I don’t have goals. I never had goals, but obviously it changed my schedule because at the beginning of the year, I wasn’t in the AIG Women’s Open, for example, so I’m excited for the that and the Scottish, I’ll get in. I’m excited to be able to choose and pick my events, because at the beginning of the year, I didn’t know, so now I’m happy to be choosing and it’s a very luxurious position to be in.”

A field of 132 players representing 36 nationalities will be teeing it up in the Jabra Ladies Open de France including 20 French players.

There are 14 French professionals and six French amateurs hoping to impress their fans on home soil from 28-30 May.

Laisné had the opportunity to compete in her home open as an amateur and is pleased so many French players are competing this week.

She added: “It’s impressive to have 20 French players. There’s more chance to perform, it’s great to be representing France. It’s good because France needs more players to play the game and to have fans to enjoy. I’m very surprised and excited to have so many French players.

“I was very excited to play the Open de France as an amateur. I can’t remember much. It was a little impressive, but exciting to play LET, so I would say just to enjoy and have a good time.

“Even if it’s stressful, try to keep calm and it’s very enjoyable to have this kind of tournament because it’s different from amateur events where you know the people. On the LET, you don’t know as many people when you come as an amateur, so it’s different but keep your game, and you’ll be fine.”

Laisné will begin her title tilt at 8.55 am (local time) on Thursday from the 15th tee alongside Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjäll and defending champion Sara Kouskova.
