HUANG CLIMBS INTO TOP 20 AT AMUNDI EVIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Anna Huang

Anna Huang carded a round of 66 (-5) on Saturday at the 2026 Amundi Evian Championship to move herself into the top 20 on the leaderboard.

The Canadian opened with a round of 70 (-1) on day one at Evian Resort Golf Club before following up with a 71 (E) on day two.

Three-time LET winner Huang teed off on the 10th hole and rolled in birdies at the 12th, 15th and 18th holes.

She continued momentum around the turn with further birdies on the first and second before a dropped shot on three, but added another birdie on four to seal her round of 66 and sit in T16.

“I’m really happy how I played today,” said Huang. “My game was really good. I had a bit of a rough start actually, but I made a lot of good par saves, so that really built my putting momentum throughout the day. And then, yeah, it was just really solid round of golf.

“I just hit a lot of good, solid shots. They ended up pretty close to the pin and I made the putts. It was just some good golf.”

Huang is making her Amundi Evian Championship debut this week and her fifth Major appearance.

It is the second time she’s made the cut at a Major after doing the same at the 2026 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship two weeks ago.

She explained: “I was definitely a bit nervous before making the cut. First two days, they’re always a bit nerve-wracking. Then I think today I really kind of loosened up and the nerves kind of went away. I just played freely.

“My family being here is really great. They’re really great to support me. My brother definitely like helps calm me down when I’m like really nervous. He makes me laugh a lot.

“I’m really excited to play tomorrow. I think my game is in a good spot right now, and hopefully I’ll just make some more birdies.”
