Anna Huang set a new Ladies European Tour (LET) record with her victory at the Lalla Meryem Cup becoming the youngest player in history to reach three wins on the circuit.
The Canadian fired a final round 66 (-7) in Morocco to pip Kelsey Bennett to the crown and add a third LET title to her resume following back-to-back victories in September at the La Sella Open and Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
At just 17 years, 6 months and 24 days old, Huang bettered the previous record held by former World No 1 Lydia Ko. The Kiwi won the New Zealand Women’s Open in 2013 and 2015 as well as the Women’s Australian Open in 2015 – all three by the age of 17 years, 10 months and 7 days.
Huang also surpasses another former World No 1, Jeeno Thitikul, in reaching a hat-trick of wins at a younger age. The Thai star won the Ladies European Thailand Championship in 2017 and 2019 plus the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open by the age of 18 years, 4 months and 7 days.
Thitikul remains the youngest player to win on the LET having picked up her maiden victory aged just 14 years, 4 months and 19 days. Her second victory came in 2017 aged just 16 years, 5 months and 3 days.
Huang now holds several records on the LET being the only Canadian to pick up multiple wins and youngest player to win back-to-back titles thanks to her heroics last September.
The 17-year-old is now third on the 2026 Order of Merit following her six-shot comeback victory at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. Thitikul remains the youngest player to win the season-long race having claimed the prestigious title as an 18-year-old in 2021.
Next week Huang heads to The Riviera Country Club for the 81st staging of the U.S. Women’s Open having won the regional qualifier at Somerset Country Club.
