Japan’s Miyu Yamashita continued her consistent form with another round of 68 (-4) at the 2026 Aramco Korea Championship to lead on 13-under-par with one round remaining.
The major champion led by two shots overnight and began her day with a birdie at the first before a dropped shot on the second at New Korea Country Club.
Yamashita added further birdies on the eighth and 11th holes before finishing in style with back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17 to sit at the top of the leaderboard on 13-under-par.
“Today my shots are consistent, and I struggled with my putting a little bit. Tomorrow, I will stay focused on my shots within 100 yards. The greens also for me are a little bit difficult to read as well. I am also planning on eating Korean food tonight as well! I will do my best tomorrow,” said Yamashita.
Five-time major champion Yani Tseng is in solo second place after firing a 66 (-6) on day three of the Aramco Korea Championship.
Tseng was bogey-free on moving day rolling in birdies on her third, eighth, 11th, 13th, 14th and 18th holes.
“I always really enjoy playing golf in Korea, I love the fans out here. They’re always cheering, it doesn’t matter what the result is and that’s a great motivation. It’s pretty cool,” said Tseng.
“I enjoy it a lot. I enjoy this course, it’s not easy to walk. The first couple of days, I was still trying to adjust to the green speed a little bit. Today I putt really well and I’m happy that I’m in contention now.
“I’m very nervous, even the last three holes I was so nervous. I haven’t been in this position since last year but I’m just happy. This is what I’ve been working on, I’m trying to not think about it too much.
“I want to enjoy tonight and enjoy tomorrow as much as I can. That’s what I missed about playing golf was to be in contention and play competition golf and be in the last two groups, that pressure you will never get that when you practice and I’m looking forward to it.”
France’s Celine Herbin-Marshall is in outright third place after she fired the low round of the day with a 65 (-7), equalling the course record set by Seojin Park in 2025 and Patricie Mackova in round one.
The two-time LET winner made a birdie on her opening hole and made another on her fifth hole before rolling in a monster eagle putt on the eighth.
On her back nine, Herbin-Marshall finished with a flourish with birdies on her 14th, 16th and 17th holes to propel herself up the leaderboard.
“It was quite something. It was really consistent. I enjoy the greens a lot here, so I’m holing some nice putts,” said Herbin-Marshall. “My round highlight was holing a long putt for eagle on eight. That was quite a bonus. I kept being patient, rolling good putts and sometimes they went in and sometimes they didn’t. I kept believing in my game.
“I have been playing very well lately, I was just not having my way or some things were happening or maybe the putts were not falling. I feel very comfortable since I arrived from Hawaii on Tuesday on those greens, much less grain than the last week. That was a little bit of a relief. I read the greens quite well and it’s nice to be playing well.”
Hong Kong’s Ginnie Ding and Czechia’s Sara Kouskova share fourth place on 10-under-par at the 54-hole mark.
Ding, who competed at the Asian Games last week, was bogey-free rolling in five birdies for her flawless 67.
“There was a really good flow in my group and there were a couple of holes where we all had a birdie, so that was good to see. I holed some good putts, I hit it a bit better today compared to yesterday and no bogeys,” said Ding.
“I kept it in the fairway and on the green. I’m not going to overcomplicate it tomorrow. The course is playing so nice and pure, and I’m reading the greens well so I’m building confidence from that.”
Kouskova got off to a hot start rolling in three birdies on her front nine before adding another on the 10th hole.
The two-time LET winner rolled in three birdies on the trot between holes 12 and 14 to surge hold the lead, but finished with three bogeys to end the day on 10-under-par.
“It was a great day. I’m still absorbing that finish, even though we haven’t changed anything and I still played the same golf,” said Kouskova. “Maybe I had a little mistake on 17 with the hook with the 3-wood and then 18, that shot off the tee a little left, but I was in a divot on the fairway afterward.
“There were a lot of things happening at the end which I couldn’t really get, but that’s golf. I played until then almost without the mistakes, so I guess it had to come at some point and sadly that was at the end. I’m really happy about the game. So many putts went in today and I want to stay with that good stuff for tomorrow.
“I’m very happy about the process now and we’ve been doing a lot of things well. I’m staying patient and enjoying it. I’ve had a very big fan moment today with Yani [Tseng]. I have a picture of her on my wall in my little room back home and she’s such a star and inspiration, so I definitely enjoyed it.”
Australia’s Sarah Kemp and Sweden’s Louise Rydqvist are in a tie for sixth place on nine-under-par with five players one shot further back in T8.
The final round will begin at 7.43 am (local time) with the leaders teeing off at 12 pm (local time) at New Korea Country Club.
