UTAMA WINS SPORTS CAR WITH HOLE-IN-ONE AT LALLA MERYEM CUP

It took just five hours for the luxurious hole-in-one prize to be claimed at the 2026 Lalla Meryem Cup after Aunchisa Utama carded a wonderful ace to win a Range Rover Sport.

Teeing up in the morning on Royal Golf Dar Es Salam’s Blue Course, the Thai star struck a perfect 5-iron into the 180 yard par-3 17th to capture the incredible prize on offer.

The ace helped her battle back to open with a round of 74 (+1) on a scorching hot day in Morocco.

“It’s my dream car!” Utama said following the feat. “My caddie’s too. Me talked about it during the practice round, that we had to get this one in my life. I keep thinking about how I’m going to get it back to Thailand… I don’t know how. But I’ll figure it out later.”

The ace was Utama’s 13th hole-in-one and second in Morocco after she made at ace at Lalla Aicha Q-School en route to earning her Ladies European Tour (LET) card in 2023.

Utama’s hole-in-one was also the seventh ace of the 2026 season on the LET. The 35-year-old joins compatriot April Angurasaranee, Wales’ Lydia Hall, Australia’s Kelsey Bennett, Spain’s Carlota Ciganda and India’s Diksha Dagar in the circle.

Thai star Utama sits in T55 position after the opening round 74 (+1) in Rabat. Bennett leads the way on five-under par.
