(Castellón, Spain – May 14 2005) Fany Schaeffer from France and Denmark’s Iben Tinning are tied for the lead on thirteen-under-par after the third round of the € 275,000 Open de España Femenino Castellón, at Panorámica Golf & Country Club.

Nicole Stillig-Gogele from Germany carded a 69 to finish on seven-under-par alongside Stephania Croce from Italy, who had a 70.
But Schaeffer, who is in her second season on the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour, was in fighting form after a torrid rookie season and an enforced golf sabbatical.
“After Wales last year, I had to take a four-and-a-half month break from golf because I had severe tendonitis”, said Schaeffer.
“I’ve made a few swing changes because it was in my fingers and I thought the swing could be responsible.
“I started really badly last season, the change was big for me and the travelling affected me. I needed time to adjust and I couldn’t get four rounds together.
“This year I started better, got really hot in Thailand and missed the cut, then played quite well in Tenerife, but just couldn’t putt.
“Today I putted really well; I hit my driver well and holed everything.”
