THE PRIZE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW PRESENTED BY ROLEX HIGHLIGHTS THE 2024 LAUREATE:THE ROGER FEDERER FOUNDATION

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, July 14, 2024 – During the 30th edition of The Amundi Evian Championship, the prestigious “Prize for a Better Tomorrow presented by Rolex” was awarded to the Roger Federer Foundation, represented by Roger Federer himself. This organization, dedicated to the education of children in Africa and Switzerland, stands out for its commitment to inclusion through sport.

The mission of the Roger Federer Foundation is to empower disadvantaged children to take control of their future by fully supporting them from a young age. Believing that this goal can be achieved through enhanced support and quality education, the foundation works to improve access to education and overcome challenges such as high repetition rates and, most importantly, the lack of education among children under the age of 8.

To date, nearly 2.9 million children worldwide have benefited from the program launched 20 years ago by Roger Federer.

A NEW IMPETUS FOR EDUCATION AND INCLUSION THROUGH SPORT

he Roger Federer Foundation supports numerous educational structures for children aged 3 to 8 in Southern Africa and Switzerland. This investment encourages the development of each child and assists various educational stakeholders by discovering new methods to improve the quality of learning. In Switzerland, the foundation also supports disadvantaged children outside of the school environment.

The Roger Federer Foundation collaborates exclusively with carefully selected local organizations, establishing long-term partnerships to ensure continuous and systematic improvement in education.
