There are lots of sustainability initiatives happening on site at the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open, which is taking place at Carton House, A Fairmont Managed Hotel just outside of Dublin.
The LET and LET Access Series (LETAS) is committed to recognising and promoting great sustainable work being done by the LET community as part of the Tour’s sustainability initiative in partnership with GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf.
On site there are Water refill stations are available on site for the public to fill up their water bottles, while there are also two bottle Re-Turn stations.
Players and the public can return their water bottles and funds from the bottle return scheme will be donated to local charities.
Friday saw Play in Pink for Breast Cancer Day with players, caddies and anyone attending the tournament encouraged to wear pink in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute – the charity partner of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.
KPMG – the title sponsor of the tournament – are once again doing their ‘Books for Birdies’ campaign this year.
Every birdie scored at the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish open, along with every birdie that Leona Maguire and her fellow Irish Professional golfers achieve from May 1, KPMG pledges to donate a children’s book to local schools.
Additionally, in the village this year there is a book borner where children can take some time out of the day and read donated books.
Golf Ireland hosted golf clinics throughout the week for up-and-coming players to get advice from LET stars on the range.
Across the course, there is a proficient waste management system with compost, recycling and general waste bins; additionally, biodegradable utensils are being used within the food trucks located in the fan village.
