SIX AUTOMATIC QUALIFIERS CONFIRMED FOR EUROPEAN PING JUNIOR SOLHEIM CUP TEAM

The six automatic qualifiers for the European team at the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup (PJSC) team have been confirmed following the conclusion of the final counting event.

Talented youngsters from five different countries have secured their place for the contest at Bernardus Golf in The Netherlands from September 7-8, which will be the first time the PJSC has been played on the same course as the Solheim Cup.

The following players qualified from the PJSC Rankings:

Anna Ludvová, Czech Republic
Adriana García Terol, Spain
Lena Geier, Germany
Sofía Maier-Borst, Germany
Lauren Crump, England
Lana Guyot, Switzerland

The remaining six players will be selected by Captain Anne van Dam and announced on Tuesday 18th August.

Modelled on the Solheim Cup, the PING Junior Solheim Cup features the 12 best female junior golfers (ages 12-18) from Europe competing against their counterparts from the USA.

To be eligible for selection, players must be an amateur, a European citizen, born in 2008 or later and not involved in a collegiate golf programme.

The qualifying campaign for the European team began in Portugal in January 2026 and comprised 10 events across Europe, finishing at the R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship in Scotland on 15 August.

Anna Ludvová led the rankings for much of the campaign after finishing runner-up in the opening event.

England’s Lauren Crump was also a mainstay in the qualifying spots after winning the ANNIKA Invitational Europe in June, finishing ten shots ahead of runner-up Sofía Maier-Borst of Germany, who two weeks earlier had another runner-up finish, this time on home soil in the German International Amateur Girls Open.

Another German, Lena Geier, Spaniard Adriana García Terol and Lana Guyot from Switzerland all secured their spots with fine performances in the final event.

Geier won the stroke play stage with a four under par total, while García Terol lost in the final to her compatriot Marta Muñoz having beaten Guyot in the semis.

The PING Junior Solheim Cup comprises six foursomes and six fourball matches on Monday September 7, before 12 singles matches on Tuesday September 8. The players will stay on to watch the Solheim Cup, which starts on Friday September 11.

This will be the 14th playing of the PING Junior Solheim Cup, and Europe will be looking for a third win from four editions, having won in 2021 and 2023 before losing on US soil in 2024.

The U.S. PJSC team will be captained by Morgan Pressel. She confirmed her team earlier this month.

With the support of PING and the Solheim family, the competition has developed a reputation for showcasing the best female juniors who go on to become world-class players.

Many of today’s top professionals started their Solheim Cup careers in the PING Junior Solheim Cup, including Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda, Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson.
