France’s Nastasia Nadaud delivered a strong performance in the second round of The Amundi Evian Championship, marking an impressive debut in her first major appearance.
Starting the day at even par and tied for 43rd after the opening round, the 20-year-old showed precision on Friday, finishing the round four-under par after 36 holes. Her only blemish came with a dropped shot on the 7th hole, but she quickly rebounded with back-to-back birdies on the 11th and 12th, adding three more birdies to cap off a confident round.
“It was really great”, said Nadaud. “I’ve been hitting the ball relatively the same today and yesterday – I missed some greens yesterday on some of the par-3s, kind of short-sided.
“Yesterday, I was quite nervous. Today I was more used to it, but a bit more relaxed today. I’m a bit sick so I think that helps to stay detached from everything that happened.”
Evian Resort Golf Club isn’t far away from her hometown in Chambery – less than a two-hour drive – so she had plenty of support from friends and family.
“It was really cool. I had a lot of like friends and family and people from my local club coming to cheer me on. It was great to feel their energy.”
Like India’s Aditi Ashok, Nadaud played here in the Evian Juniors. Reflecting on memories of that she said: “I played really badly to be honest. But I think practicing here quite a lot from during my off time helps because I know where to go, where not to go.”
The 20-year-old has had a solid start to her 2025 season, with her best-ever result a month ago at the Hulencourt Women’s Open with a runner-up finish.
“I think I’m just sticking to my process and what needs to be done instead of like focusing on the result or ranking or anything.”

Nadaud is excited for weekend golf and being amongst some of the best players in the game.
“I’m so excited. Seeing all the big names on top of the leaderboard and having me close to this is such a cool experience. I’m really looking forward to the weekend.”
