Marrakech, a city celebrated for its cultural wealth and historical legacy, is proudly set to host the 2023 Ladies European Tour (LET) Q-School, known as the Lalla Aicha Q-School.
Known as a top golf destination, Marrakech’s selection for this prestigious event underscores its global golfing prominence. The tournament will feature 229 professional female golfers from 41 countries, showcasing the diversity and talent in women’s golf. Notably, the event includes the participation of two Moroccan professional golfers, highlighting the significant growth of women’s golf in Morocco.
The event will unfold across several of Marrakech’s renowned golf courses in two key phases:
Pre-Qualifier:
December 10-12, 2023, at Noria Golf Club Marrakech, Palmeraie Rotana Resort Marrakech, and Samanah Golf by Nicklaus.
Final Qualifier:
December 16-20, 2023, at Royal Golf Marrakech and Al Maaden Golf Marrakech.
These courses, known for their unique blend of Marrakech’s natural beauty and challenging golf experiences, offer players diverse terrains against the stunning backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, complemented by Moroccan hospitality.
LALLA AICHA
This event pays homage to the late Princess Lalla Aicha, a revered member of the Moroccan royal family and a pioneer in Moroccan women’s golf. Her efforts in promoting golf led to significant tournaments like the Lalla Meryem Cup on the LET, elevating Moroccan golf’s global stature.
