It’s been eight years since Georgia Hall lifted the AIG Women’s Open trophy on home soil at Royal Lytham & St Annes and this year’s return to the venue is extra special.
The English star welcomed her son Conor in February of this year and with the AIG Women’s Open being held at Royal Lytham & St Annes once again, the dream for Hall was to be able to play in the championship where she won her title, with her son watching on from the sidelines.
Hall has received multi-disciplinary support from the Ladies European Tour Performance Institute (LETPI) throughout her postpartum journey back to competitive golf.
The LET sat down with the Major winner to speak about her return to Royal Lytham & St Annes, her pregnancy journey and how she has been preparing to tee it up on the major stage.
“I just couldn’t believe I achieved my dream so quickly,” said Hall. “I wasn’t really expecting to win it at 22. Looking back at it now, it makes me appreciate it more than I did at the time. It’s incredibly special for me to return there and that’s partly why I’ve come back so early as well.”
