Sara Brentcheneff is looking forward to a special week playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at the 2025 Jabra Ladies Open.
The amateur secured her maiden professional victory on the LET Access Series (LETAS) a few weeks ago at the Super Bock Ladies Open at Vidago Palace.
A final round of 67 (-5) saw her clinch her first LETAS title in Portugal, a few weeks after finishing as runner-up at the Terre Blanche Ladies Open.
“It was my first time winning and it was in a professional event, so that was great,” she said. “I wanted to win a tournament this year with the professionals, that was the goal and I’m really happy for that.
“I love this course because a major is played on the course and I’m really happy because it’s my second time playing here. I love the fact the greens are really hard, there’s so much up and down here. It’s very challenging.
“This week I just want to get it on fairway and the green and then we will see what happens.”

Brentcheneff, who competed in the 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cup, is still at school and is balancing her studies alongside playing golf.
The 17-year-old has plans to turn professional in 2026 but is going to enjoy this week playing on the LET at Evian Resort Golf Club.
She continued: “I am still at school; I haven’t graduated yet. Maybe I will graduate this year, we’ll see. I am a little bit late on my homework. It’s difficult to balance, I do my work at night and then I play golf in the day when I’m training. My dad isn’t very happy about this but that’s it.
“I’m going to take a LETAS membership and maybe get some invitations to the LET events. I will turn professional next year, I’m sure now.
“I’m going to take pleasure in playing in an LET event because that’s special for me. We don’t have so many tournaments like this, so it’s special.”
