LET RETURNS TO GERMANY FOR AMUNDI GERMAN MASTERS

After a Swedish double-header, the Ladies European Tour (LET) is back in Germany this week for the Amundi German Masters.

Golf & Country Club Seddiner See is the venue of the tournament once again, which saw Sweden’s Maja Stark take victory in 2022.

A field of 126 players will take the course this week in a 72-hole stroke play format where there will be a cut after 36 holes to the top 60 professionals and ties.

A whole host of home favourites are in town ready to play in front of a home crowd including recent LET winner Patricia Isabel Schmidt.

It was just a few weeks ago when Schmidt clinched her maiden LET title at Naxhelet Golf Club in Belgium and she will be hoping to continue her recent success at home.

Leonie Harm finished at the top German in the 2022 edition coming up just one shot short after rounds of 66-71-69-68 saw her end the week in second place and she is back hoping to go on better.

LET winners Chiara Noja and Olivia Cowan are also both in town and looking to impress on home soil.

As is LET Q-School co-medallist Alexandra Försterling, who is from and lives in Berlin, and will be relishing the home comforts of staying in her home bed.

In the 2023 Race to Costa del Sol, six of the top 10 will be vying to improve their position in the rankings including Spain’s Ana Peláez Trivino who has the opportunity to overtake leader Aditi Ashok.

While Czechia’s Klara Davidson Spilkova, who sits fourth in the Race to Costa del Sol, will be hoping to improve upon her 10th place finish here in 2022.
