LET HEADS TO UNITED STATES FOR THE 2025 ARAMCO HOUSTON CHAMPIONSHIP

After a one-week break, the Ladies European Tour (LET) returns to action this week with a trip to the United States for the Aramco Houston Championship.

This week sees the fourth event of the PIF Global Series, which was launched earlier this year, and has seen the PIF Saudi Ladies International, Aramco Korea Championship and PIF London Championship take place.

It is the first time that the LET is heading to Houston with Golfcrest Country Club hosting the tournament, which will see a field of 104 professionals representing 35 nationalities compete in two competitions.

There is a 36-hole Team competition alongside a 54-hole Individual stroke play, with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.

A prize fund of USD $2,000,000 is up for grabs with $500,000 for the Team competition and $1,500,000 for the Individual competition.

Last year’s tournament took place in Tampa and saw Germany’s Alexandra Försterling win her third LET title ahead of England’s Charley Hull and in the team event, Team Roussin-Bouchard were victorious.

A stellar field has assembled in Houston which includes both Försterling and Hull, as well as European Solheim Cup stars Celine Boutier and Carlota Ciganda.

LET Order of Merit leader Mimi Rhodes is in town hoping to extend her advantage at the top of both the OOM and Rookie of the Year rankings.

There are five Americans playing on home soil this week including two-time LET winner Alison Lee, who makes her return to competition after having her first child earlier this year.

The Aramco Houston Championship will take place at Golfcrest Country Club from Friday 5 September to Sunday 7 September.
