LET BEGINS EUROPEAN STRETCH WITH TRIP TO BERLIN

Amundi German Masters

After a trip to Seoul, the Ladies European Tour (LET) returns to its roots this week with the start of the European stretch.

Germany and specifically Berlin is the first destination of the summer with the 2024 edition of the Amundi German Masters.

Golf & Country Club Seddiner See, located just outside of Berlin, will host the tournament for the third time between May 16-19.

The tournament will see 132 players from 35 nations teeing it up in a 72-hole stroke play format with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties at the 36-hole mark.

LET Order of Merit leader Bronte Law of England will be teeing it up as will Belgium’s Manon De Roey – who sits just 133.98 points behind the Englishwoman – after winning the Investec South African Women’s Open a couple of weeks ago.

Home favourite Alexandra Försterling is back on the LET this week for the first time since securing her this LET victory.

The 24-year-old, who is from Berlin, won the Individual competition at the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Tampa in March.

Försterling is not the only German in the field this week with 11 home players teeing it up including LET winners Chiara Noja and Patricia Isabel Schmidt, as well as Solheim Cup star Sandra Gal.

Czechia’s Kristyna Napoleaova will be defending her crown this week returning to the scene of victory, after she defeated England’s Cara Gainer here in a playoff in 2023.

Another winner from 2024 who is in attendance is Colombia’s Mariajo Uribe, who is in great form having finished in a tie for third place in Seoul last week.
