INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION A KEY FOCUS OF 2026 PIF SAUDI LADIES INTERNATIONAL

PIF Saudi Ladies International

Throughout the week at the 2026 PIF Saudi Ladies International, there were plenty of activations happening off the golf course to promote the game of golf with current and future generations.

Riyadh Golf Club staged the Ladies European Tour (LET) season-opening event which saw England’s Charley Hull triumph after an enthralling four days of competition.

Away from the golf course, Sustained Futures launched their 2026 programme with 370 students taking part in sessions across the tournament days designed to inspire and educate the next generation.

“Leading this youth engagement initiative is profoundly meaningful to me, as it represents an opportunity to foster dialogue, empowerment, and positive development among young people,” said Iven Ilievska, spokesperson from Sustained Futures.

“Seeing so many bright young people looking to the future, capturing innovative ideas, and stepping forward as advocates for change makes me incredibly proud.

“Sustained Futures is using sport as a powerful platform to raise awareness about environment consciousness and help bridge the green skills gap. It’s an honour to lead this engagement and to connect with such inspiring young minds.”

The second day of the tournament highlighted Golf Saudi’s investment in the future of women’s sport, moving beyond the greens to foster a culture of leadership and professional development.

The WiMENA (Women in Middle East and North Africa) panels were further elevated by the presence of pioneering Saudi athletes who embody the Kingdom’s sporting ambition, including Kariman Abuljadayel, the trailblazing sprinter who set a Guinness World Record for the 10km open water row. Joining her were Razan Al-Ajmi, Saudi Arabia’s first female skydiver, the Saudi National Rugby Team and other prominent Olympians and sports figures.

On Friday, more than 200 young students got to grips with golf courtesy of Golf Saudi’s team of PGA Professionals in Go Golf clinics, with the aim of using sport as a means for change for a better future.

Through the LET’s partnership with Titleist, the Pro V1 golf balls used on the practice range in the tournament will also be donated back to Riyadh Golf Club where they will be used in their future Go Golf Clinics.

A total of 775 CSR participants from a diverse range of prestigious institutions in the Kingdom, including Al Faris International School, Quality Schools, Wagt Altaalm School, Ibn Rashd School, Downe House School, Ibn Khaldoon, and Al Namothgya, joined forces to support this milestone event. Their involvement, alongside the Cancer Survivor Charity, Ensan Orphanage, and the Make Their Wish Charity, underscores a collective commitment to community impact.

The LET Sustainability Initiative (LETSI) is about using the power of our tournaments to participate and showcase action and innovation across a range of priority issues such as environmental responsibility, community engagement, and working towards achieving tournament climate neutrality.
