FIELD BREAKDOWN: 2025 ARAMCO HOUSTON CHAMPIONSHIP

Casandra Alexander

This week sees the 20th stop of the 2025 Ladies European Tour (LET) season with a trip to Texas for the Aramco Houston Championship held at Golfcrest Country Club.

It is the first time the LET has been to Texas with the four previous editions of the tournament hosted in New York and Florida, respectively.

A field of 104 professionals representing 35 nationalities will compete in a 36-hole Team competition alongside a 54-hole Individual stroke play, with a cut to the top-60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.

An excellent field has assembled in Houston with world number 10 Charley Hull leading the way and making her return to competition following the ankle injury she sustained last month.

Home favourite Alison Lee, who has previously won the Individual title in Sotogrande and Riyadh, is also returning to the fairways this week having had her first child earlier this year.

Solheim Cup stars Celine Boutier, Carlota Ciganda and Danielle Kang are all in action this week with the trio having found previous success in this format.

Defending champion Alexandra Försterling of Germany is in attendance, after she won her third LET title in Tampa last year.

Five American players will be competing on home soil with Lee and Kang joined by Hannah Gregg, Lakareber Abe and rookie Brianna Navarrosa.

Nine LET winners from the 2025 season are teeing it up this week including Germany’s Laura Fünfstück, who won the Individual title at the PIF London Championship held last month.

Order of Merit leader Mimi Rhodes is in town hoping to extend her advantage at the top of both the OOM and Rookie of the Year rankings, and Rhodes is one of 20 rookies in the field this week.

A total of 37 LET winners, who have a combined total of 84 LET wins between them, will be teeing it up in Houston.
