The Ladies European Tour (LET) is still in South Africa and specifically Cape Town for this week’s Investec South African Women’s Open.

It is the 31st edition of the tournament and the ninth time the event has been co-sanctioned by the LET and the Sunshine Ladies Tour (SLT).

Erinvale Country and Golf Estate is the new venue for 2024 hosting the tournament for the first time.

The course offers breath-taking views of Hottentots Holland Mountains, the Helderberg Mountain and False Bay.

A field of 120 players from 34 nations will be teeing it up in a 72-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after the second round.

With it being a co-sanctioned tournament, the field is made up of 84 LET members, 12 invites, five qualifiers and 19 SLT members.

Three winners from the 2024 season are in attendance with Magical Kenya Ladies Open winner Shannon Tan, Lalla Meryem Cup victor Bronte Law and last week’s winner Chiara Tamburlini.

Switzerland’s Tamburlini now leads the Rookie of the Year standings ahead of Tan with 761 points to her name.

Law still sits at the top of the LET Order of Merit standings with 1,058.75 points, while Tamburlini is in second place.

South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace is a five-time winner of the Investec SA Women’s Open having won it most recently in 2021 and 2022.

Pace will be teeing it up alongside compatriots Nicole Garcia, Casandra Alexander, Cara Gorlei and Danielle du Toit.
