England’s Annabell Fuller has officially turned professional after securing her full Ladies European Tour (LET) card in confident fashion at Lalla Aicha Marrakech Q-School.
The 21-year-old lit things up in Morocco last month, first dominating the field to win the Pre-Qualifier held at Palmerie Rotana before finishing T5 on 16-under par at the Final Stage event.
With one year remaining at the University of Florida – the institution where Fuller has enjoyed a successful collegiate career – the rising English star has now accepted LET membership and will embark on her first year as a professional golfer in 2024.
Taking to social media to announce the news, Fuller said: “I am delighted to announce that, after a challenging but successful couple of weeks in Morocco, I am heading into 2024 as a professional golfer on the Ladies European Tour.
“This has been my dream since I was a little girl watching my big sister. She has always been my inspiration, pushing me to be better while setting the standard extremely high. Though it feels somewhat surreal, with the unwavering support from my family, I can finally say my dream of being a professional golfer on tour has come true.
Fuller will no doubt be one of the rookies to watch in 2024 having had a richly successful amateur career.
The London native won the English Under 16 Girls’ Championship in 2017 before going on to represent Europe in both the Junior Ryder Cup and PING Junior Solheim Cup.
Fuller would later compete in three Curtis Cup events before winning the English Women’s Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 2020.
Having now turned professional, the 21-year-old will be hoping to emulate her winning formula on the LET, beginning with the Magical Kenya Ladies Open in February.
“I am so excited to start my career on the LET in a couple of weeks in Kenya,” Fuller continued. “I can’t wait for this new journey to begin, but I owe this opportunity to the invaluable help and support from my friends and family. Thank you.”
