DRAFT PICKS SELECTED IN SEOUL

With the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Korea nearing the start of play the teams have now been finalised following the Draft in the centre of Seoul.

In the second ATS event of 2024, two competitions will take place side by side with 108 professionals competing in both the 36-hole Team competition and 54-hole Individual event.

It was a unique evening in Seoul as the stars of the Ladies European Tour (LET) attended the six-star Lotte hotel for an enjoyable night filled with traditional Korean drumming, scroll art and local food.

The Draft commenced shortly after with 36 captains selecting one teammate from the field of competitors.

The third professional was randomly assigned before one amateur was added to complete the line-ups.

Captains were decided based on the 36 best-ranked players from the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as of Monday 6th May.

Italy’s Virginia Elena Carta was afforded the first pick of the night as she opted for rising rookie Annabell Fuller from England. The pair are joined by France’s Anais Meyssonier.

In the second pick, Austria’s Sarah Schober selected Thailand’s April Angurasaranee. Invitee Camilla Lennarth is their third professional player.

Further down the selection list, Order of Merit winner Trichat Cheenglab got the player she wanted as she was able to pick close friend Aunchisa Utama. Expecting to bring a lot of fun to the fairways at New Korea Country Club, the bubbly pair are joined by Spain’s Letecia Ras-Anderica.

Solheim Cup star Danielle Kang, teeing up as invite this week, chose LET winner Lily May Humphreys with her pick. The duo are joined by China’s Tian Xialin.

Major winner Hyo-Joo Kim opted for Finland’s Sanna Nuutinen. South African rookie Danielle De Toit is the team’s third professional player.

With the final pick, World No 7 Charley Hull, a winner in the Aramco Team Series, went for familiarity picking Michele Thomson from Scotland. The pair are joined by another Brit, Flic Johnson.
