Klara Davidson Spilkova loves playing at home and is once again looking forward to teeing it up at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open.
The Czech star has had a busy start to the season playing nine events across five continents so far in 2024.
Davidson Spilkova sits 49th in the LET Order of Merit having had one top-10 and one top-20 finish this season.
But the two-time LET winner can’t wait to be playing on the LET around Royal Beroun Golf Club once again.
“I am very excited to be here,” she said. “It’s very special to be home and play at home because the season has been very busy all over the world, so it’s always nice to come home.
“My family, my friends, my team are all going to be here. I’m going to get a lot of support from people, it’s a very special event for me.
“You can expect good atmosphere, good weather and good golf. Come and watch and enjoy with us!”
The Olympian’s best result at her home tournament was in 2022 when she finished in a tie for second place.
But one thing Davidson Spilkova would love to do would be to go one better and secure victory on home soil.
She explained: “I would like to win, that’s my wish! I will try my best and we will see how it’s going to unfold for me after the tournament. My husband is going to be caddying for me and he will caddie for the whole summer.”
It will be a very exciting summer for the Czech star who will also be making her third appearance at the Olympic Games.
The 29-year-old represented her country at both the Rio and Tokyo Games and is excited to be able to do the same in Paris.
She added: “I’m very excited for Paris. Finally, it’s going to be a short flight, so it’s going to be exciting. It’s only been three years since the last Olympics, but I think it’s going to be amazing.
“Especially the atmosphere, I’m really looking forward to playing the course itself because it’s supposed to be amazing. I have been there 15 years ago, so I’m very excited.”
