DAVIDSON SPILKOVA EXCITED FOR SECOND APPEARANCE AT U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN

Klara Davidson Spilkova is looking forward to returning to the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally this week.

The two-time LET winner made her first appearance at the major championship back in 2018 and will be teeing it up at Erin Hills from 29 May to 1 June.

She secured her spot in the second major of the year after clinching co-medallist honours at the Qualifier held in Milan in April.

Davidson Spilkova will be joined in the States by her husband Sean, and she is delighted to be playing in Wisconsin.

“I am very excited; I have not played this tournament since 2018,” she said. “It’s just exciting. I’m very excited to go there.

“My family’s not coming this week, but obviously Sean [her husband] is American, and he’s got a family in the U.S, so there’s a lot of people are coming and he’s excited. I just want to go out there and have fun and also enjoy the moment and stay present.”

After taking a medical at the end of last season due to a hip injury, the Czech star returned to competing at the start of this year.

Davidson Spilkova has played in seven LET events in 2025 and made four cuts including two top-20 finishes at the Joburg and Jabra Ladies Open.

“This year hasn’t been the easiest,” she continued. “I think always coming back from the break and playing tournaments on a medical, if you can’t avoid it, it’s a better way to do it. I’m grateful I took that break last year.

“Evian is quite tricky. I hit many good shots, and I also hit some shots that were not as great. There’s still some work to do, but it’s good. I’m pretty happy about the game and today was calm and happy and I really enjoyed the round of golf.

“At the beginning of the year, it was quite difficult with all the travel and stuff, so I’m pretty happy with how I did during those tournaments, and I am happy to be back in Europe and play in Europe now – even though I’m going to the U.S. next week.

“I’m really looking forward to playing Belgium, Czech, Germany and Ireland. I’m just taking it week by week this year, I’m trying to stay a little more present.”
