The Ladies European Tour (LET) continues its South African swing in Cape Town for this week’s Investec South African Women’s Open.
It is the 32nd edition of the tournament, and the tenth time the event has been co-sanctioned by the LET and the Sunshine Ladies Tour (SLT).
The tournament returns to Erinvale Country and Golf Estate, after it made its debut as the venue in 2024. The course offers incredible views of Hottentots Holland Mountains, the Helderberg Mountain and False Bay.
A field of 132 players representing 35 nationalities will be teeing it up in a 72-hole stroke play competition, with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after 36 holes.
With it being a co-sanctioned tournament, the field is made up of 90 LET players, 42 SLT players, and 17 invites.
Two winners from the 2025 LET season are in attendance with Lalla Meryem Cup victor Cara Gainer and two-time LET winner Mimi Rhodes, who secured back-to-back victories at the Ford Women’s NSW Open and Joburg Ladies Open. In the field, there are 40 LET winners with a combined total of 76 LET wins.
Defending champion Manon won’t be in attendance this week however Momoka Kobori will be hoping to go one better this week. The New Zealander came T2 last year alongside England’s Gabriella Cowley.
Following Rhodes’ second win, she now leads the Rookie of the Year standings ahead of Kajsa Arwefjall with 1,036.50 points to her name.
The 23-year-old also now sits at the top of the LET Order of Merit standings, while Gainer in second place.
South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace is a five-time winner of the Investec SA Women’s Open having won it most recently in 2021 and 2022, and is alongside three other champions in the field this week. Others include Alice Hewson (2020), Diksha Dagar (2019), and Tandi McCallum (2009).
Pace will be teeing it up alongside 17 other compatriots including last week’s runner up Casandra Alexander, as well as Danielle Du Toit, Gabrielle Venter, Kaiyuree Moddley, and Cara Gorlei.

This tournament follows the Joburg Ladies Open where rookie Mimi Rhodes won her second LET event.
The winner of the Investec SA Women’s Open will qualify for the Dutch Ladies Open. Two places to play in the Aramco Series – Korea are reserved for players, not otherwise qualified, who finish within the Top 10 and ties at the Investec SA Women’s Open.
