A special premiere just outside Hamburg: From June 26th to 29th, 2025, a prominent field of players from the Ladies European Tour will challenge the demanding North Course of the Green Eagle Golf Courses in Winsen/Luhe, Lower Saxony, for the first time. In addition to a strong German contingent including Olympic medalist Esther Henseleit, defending champion Alexandra Försterling, and rising star Helen Briem, numerous top international golfers have registered for the fourth edition of the Amundi German Masters powered by VcG. The special challenge for the top athletes on the exceptional course will be accompanied by an emotional event experience on the course. For the first time, the spectacular driving range not far from the first tee will also be used in a professional tournament.

“The impressive performances of German female professional golfers worldwide are creating an enthusiastic atmosphere around women’s golf – and thus also increasing the anticipation for the only professional women’s event in Germany,” says tournament director Dirk Glittenberg, managing director of the organizer U.COM Event.

“From a sporting perspective, this premiere in Hamburg is unique, and not only thanks to local hero Esther Henseleit. We are also looking forward to many spectators who want to see the top stars up close, right in the heart of the golf season in Germany before the summer holidays.”

“As one of the largest sponsors of women’s golf in Europe, we are delighted to be able to offer players a Ladies European Tour tournament in Germany with the Amundi German Masters,” explains Daniel Reitz, Chief Marketing Officer of Amundi Germany. “A first-class field, a challenging golf course, and numerous spectator attractions ensure that fans will experience a fantastic tournament week.”

“The Amundi German Masters powered by VcG, as the only professional tournament for women in Germany, is enormously important for our athletes – it offers them a fantastic stage on home soil. I am particularly looking forward to seeing silver medalist Esther Henseleit and last year’s winner Alexandra Försterling, and of course hope for another home victory for a German player,” says Achim Battermann, Deputy President of the German Golf Association.

Hopes for a German player to win Sunday’s final in front of their home fans are justified. In addition to the strong trio of Henseleit, 26, Försterling, 25, and Briem, 19, who, despite their young ages, have already won seven LET tournaments between them, German players such as Chiara Noja, Sophie Witt, Laura Fünfstück, and Patricia Isabel Schmidt also have good chances of success. This quartet is used to playing for a LET title right to the finish, and Noja and Schmidt have already triumphed.

For example, eleven-time LET winner Lee-Anne Pace from South Africa, Pia Babnik from Slovenia, Nuria Iturrioz from Spain, Anne-Lise Caudal from France and the Thai Trichat Cheenglab, who won the LET Order of Merit in 2023, have extensive title experience. Special attention is also being paid to the tour’s great talents who are taking the first steps towards a hoped-for global career – and who want to follow the example of the Swede Maja Stark, who won the inaugural Amundi German Masters in 2022 and was crowned major winner at the US Women’s Open a few weeks ago.

Top talent Helen Briem, who demonstrated her good form with a second-place finish in Tenerife last week, will be joined by other young stars such as 21-year-old Spaniard Carla Bernat Escuder, who won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April with a strong 68 on the famous Masters course, and deaf Indian Diksha Dagar, who won the LET at the age of 18 and is now one of the tour’s established players at just 24. Four German amateurs will also have the chance to make a big appearance at the end of June. In addition to Lara Sophie Görlich, who won the Amundi German Masters Junior Qualifier by Esther Henseleit, invitations have also been received by Christin Eisenbeiß from Hamburg, Paula Schulz-Hansen and Charlotte Back.

Strong Amundi quartet at the start

Also competing is Czech player Sará Kousková, who celebrated her first two tournament victories on the LET in recent weeks and will therefore be among the favorites at the Amundi German Masters powered by VcG. The in-form Kousková, like other top players in the field, is part of Team Amundi. Amundi, as title sponsor, supports equal opportunities in sport globally; the company also sponsors nine players as part of the Amundi Team 2025. European team members Försterling, Kousková, Lauren Walsh (Ireland), and Kim Métraux (Switzerland) are confident of winning the Amundi German Masters powered by VcG.
