Emirates Global Aluminium PJSC (EGA) – the UAE-based aluminium giant – has reaffirmed its strong and continued commitment to the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, to be held under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Emirates Golf Club from December 7 to 13, 2014.
In keeping with the company’s corporate culture to back world-class events that showcase the UAE across the world, Dubai Aluminium PJSC (DUBAL) – one of EGA’s core operating assets – has been have associated with the season-ending Ladies European Tour event since the tournament’s inception in 2006. The partnership has grown with time, contributing to the successful promotion of the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters and the company over the years.
EGA was formed mid-2013 by Mubadala Development Company of Abu Dhabi and Investment Corporation of Dubai combining their respective aluminium industry interests. With a primary aluminium production capacity of 2.4 million tonnes per year, EGA ranks among the top five aluminium producers in the world.
Spearheaded by defending champion Pornanong Phatlum of Thailand, the cast for this year’s Omega Dubai Ladies Masters includes an array of superstars including England’s all-time great Laura Davies, 2012 champion Shanshan Feng of China and rising English star Charley Hull.
