Ladies European Tour professionals Carmen Alonso, Jenny Haglund, Alexandra Bonetti and Emilie Alonso gave a short game masterclass to local juniors during round three of the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de España Femenino.
Spain has produced a wealth of world class golfers including Ryder Cup legends Seve Ballesteros and Sergio Garcia and Solheim Cup stars Carlota Ciganda and Azahara Muñoz, who are playing in the tournament at Club de Golf Guadalmina.
The juniors listed these names amongst some of their favourite golfers and spoke about how they aspire to follow in their footsteps.
In addition to the master class, the juniors learnt about life on tour and the journey that the four professionals had taken to get to the top level of women’s professional golf in Europe.
This was part of the LET’s ‘LET’s Inspire’ development strategy to inspire juniors in the regions where tournaments are played.
