There will be no excuses for missing a putt at the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters, as Buckinghamshire Golf Club can now boast the smoothest greens in the UK – with the data to prove it!
On Thursday and Friday over the first two rounds of the tournament the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) collected data on the greens concerning speed, trueness, smoothness, firmness and moisture content.
This data was collected after course set up in the morning and before the greens were worked on in the evening, to check for any changes that the golfers might experience.
The results were outstanding with minimal change throughout the day and with the lowest ever score recorded for smoothness. Congratulations to the greens staff at Buckinghamshire Golf Club!
