Chiara Tamburlini is excited to be back at the scene of her third Ladies European Tour (LET) victory at the 2026 Wistron Ladies Open.
The 2024 LET Order of Merit champion has spent the majority of her season playing on the LPGA Tour but has returned to the LET over the past two weeks.
Tamburlini teed it up at the Hero Women’s Indian Open last week where she finished in a share of ninth place.
Despite having a difficult weekend at DLF Golf and Country Club, the three-time LET winner felt more like herself on the golf course.
“It was really important to get those feelings back of feeling like myself,” she said. “I still had a tough weekend, not really playing the way I wanted to over the weekend. Sunday, I had seven birdies, but I still shot one-over.
“I think it’s more there’s so much rubbish, but I still managed to stay in it and have that positive and fighting energy, which is definitely, even though it didn’t really go as planned, that’s still a good time for me because that’s something I’ve been lacking a little bit. It’s just been harder to fight through those moments and believe. It’s been really cool. Some good golf and some not good golf, but even when I played poorly, it felt different in a way.”
The 2026 Wistron Ladies Open is taking place from October 29 – November 1 at Sunrise Golf and Country Club in Chinese Taipei.
It is the third edition of the tournament, which has been co-sanctioned by the TLPGA and LET, and the seventh edition overall.
Tamburlini always enjoys playing here having won the tournament in 2024 and recording a top-10 finish in 2025.
She explained: “It feels very cool. This place is nice. Even last year here, I had a good week here and finished in the top 10. I do really like it, and I feel like it’s just some really good memories.
“Overall, since last week already it’s been so nice to be back on the LET. I really had such a good time, so I’m very excited this week as well because everybody stays in the same place and it’s easy to meet up for lunches and dinners, so that’s always fun as well.

“It’s been raining here the last two years. Even two years ago, it was raining in the Pro-Am really heavily. It was hot then, but it’s usually a bit of a softer course anyways. The biggest challenge usually is the wind here anyways.
“Then you need to try and hit a lot of fairways with a lot of crosswinds as well, so that’s important. Last week, the greens were quite firm and fast, so this week they’re probably going to be a bit slower again because it’s a different type of grass that they have here. Getting used to that will be a big thing.
“It was really nice having the local caddie when I won. I feel like I just did my own thing and she was just so happy to be there, which was very cute. That was just really good vibes and hopefully, I can get her again. It’s always different to have a local caddie. I’ve obviously done it a lot, but I have a good caddie now on the LPGA and I’m very happy with him. It’ll be fun to have a local caddie this week and maybe get her back and see how she’s doing.”
Having mainly focused on the LPGA during 2026, Tamburlini has been rebuilding her confidence on the LET and is hoping to finish the season strong.
She added: “It’s been a difficult year for me on the LPGA, it’s been a lot of changes, and I haven’t really been able to play the way I would have liked to. That with a lot of changes, led to quite some mental difficulties as well. I’m really hoping to gain some momentum as well now for the rest of the season and end on a high and feel better about it. When you finish well, it always makes it taste a little sweeter.”
Tamburlini will tee it up in the first round of the Wistron Ladies Open at 7.10 am (local time) alongside Thailand’s Sherman Santiwiwatthanaphong and home star Pei-Ying Tsai.
