ALEXANDER STRETCHES ADVANTAGE AT TOP OF LET ORDER OF MERIT

Casandra Alexander

South Africa’s Casandra Alexander has extended her advantage at the top of the Ladies European Tour (LET) Order of Merit after a successful month.

With 23 events of the LET season complete, there are only five tournaments left counting towards the Order of Merit, which is the season-long competition to crown the number one player on the LET.

Alexander has led the rankings since May thanks to her excellent consistency throughout the 2026 season, which has included nine top-10 finishes.

However, the end of the summer brought what the 27-year-old had been searching for as she earned wire-to-wire victories at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open and the Buccellati Ladies Italian Open.

Alexander set a course record at the K Club on her way to victory in Ireland at the end of August, before winning by three strokes last week in Monza.

After capturing her second and third LET titles, the South African now leads the LET Order of Merit with 2,933.98 points and has opened up a 1,288.28-point advantage of Canada’s Anna Huang who sits in second place.

Australia’s Kelsey Bennett is in third place with 1,588.50 points and Germany’s Alexandra Försterling is not too far behind in fourth, after top-20 finishes in Ireland and La Sella, as well as a top-5 finish in Italy.

France’s Agathe Laisné is fifth with 1,534.30 points and Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjäll has moved up to sixth with 1,345.25 points after back-to-back-to-back top-10 finishes in Ireland, Spain and Italy.

Singapore’s Shannon Tan, the reigning Order of Merit champion, is in seventh with FInalnd’s Noora Komulainen eighth, England’s Charley ninth and Slovenia’s Pia Babnik rounding out the top 10.

The LET heads to New Korea Country Club for the Aramco Korea Championship taking place from October 8-11.
