After an exciting three-event swing in the United Kingdom, the Ladies European Tour (LET) is back in Switzerland this week for the 2026 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open.
It is the seventh consecutive edition of the tournament following an eight-year hiatus with Golfpark Holzhäusern once again on hosting duties. Situated just south of Zurich and overlooking the picturesque Lake Zug, the par-71 track offers stunning views and demands accuracy off the tee.
A total of 132 players from 34 nations will tee up in Switzerland for the 54-hole stroke play tournament. The event marks the 20th stop of the LET’s global schedule in 2026.
Englishwoman Alice Hewson is targeting an illustrious three-peat in the competition having claimed back-to-back wins in 2024 and 2025. Hewson defended her title brilliantly last time out cruising to a five-shot victory at Golfpark Holzhäusern for LET title number three. The 28-year-old returns to Switzerland in good form having finished T19 at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, T53 at the AIG Women’s Open and T6 at last week’s PIF London Championship.
Two other recent winners of the tournament will also be teeing up at Golfpark Holzhäusern with Germany’s Alexandra Forsterling (2023) and England’s Liz Young (2022) both in the field. The former is having a fine season sitting sixth on the LET Order of Merit thanks to six top-10 finishes. She is the highest ranked player from this year’s season-standings competing in Switzerland.
Another past champion, Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord, will also be teeing up having won this event back in 2009 when it was the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open.
On the home front, a total of seven Swiss players will be competing on home soil led by Zurich native Vanessa Knecht. The 28-year-old, currently 69th on the LET Order of Merit, is joined by six invitees: amateurs Seraphine Mueller, Selina Casal, Carlotta Locatelli, Sarah Uebelhart, Sophia Sindersberger plus LET Access Series (LETAS) player Elena Colombo.
Germany’s Leonie Harm is the sole winner from 2026 teeing up in Switzerland. She is joined by LET Order of Merit winner Shannon Tan from Singapore, currently seventh in this season’s standings, and two-time LET winner Diksha Dagar at the top of the billing.
One of last year’s runner-ups, Kajsa Arwefjall, is also in the field as she continues to chase a maiden victory on the LET. The Swede is enjoying a successful summer making the cut in her first two Majors at The Amundi Evian Championship and AIG Women’s Open before finishing T10 at last week’s PIF London Championship.
Elsewhere, Austria’s Christine Wolf is making a welcomed return to action for the first time since becoming a mother. The 37-year-old last competed on the LET in October 2024 at the Aramco Team Series – Riyadh. The return will mark her 180th appearance on the circuit. The full entry list can be found here.
Offering a prize fund of €350,000, the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open gets underway on Thursday 13 August with the winner being crowned on Saturday 15 August.
