The 2026 Ladies European Tour (LET) season is in its summer swing with four events in July and now it’s time to cast your vote for the Player of the Month award.
Four events took place on the LET in July with the Hulencourt Women’s Open followed by The Amundi Evian Championship, the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links and the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
The Player of the Month award, which was introduced in 2025, sees LET commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker decided upon four nominees based on performances during the month.
July 2026 Player of the Month Shortlist
Carolina Chacarra (Spain)
Wins: 1
Spain’s Carolina Chacarra secured her maiden LET title at the Hulencourt Women’s Open at Hulencourt in Belgium. The rookie fired a final round of 68 (-4) to capture a three-stroke victory and just a few weeks after her brother Eugenio won twice on the DP World Tour.
Expert opinion: “Sibling rivalries can act as an inspiration and that certainly appeared to be the case for Carolina Chacarra with her elder brother Eugenio winning twice in June on the DP World Tour, it was Carolina’s turn in July on the LET. Coming through in style in Belgium, in what was only her third LET start as a pro to become the first rookie winner this season.”
Jenny Shin (Korea)
Wins: 1
Korea’s Jenny Shin ended her ten-year absence from the winner’s circle with a two-stroke win at Dundonald Links. The 33-year-old started well in Scotland and kept pushing, stretching her advantage every day until she lifted the trophy. Shin took up LET membership following her win and now leads the Rookie of the Year standings.
Expert opinion: “Ten years, that’s how long Jenny Shin waited for her second victory. At the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, the 33-year-old went wire-to-wire. An emotional win built on resilience and Links golf mastery.”
Shannon Tan (Singapore)
Top-10s: 1
Singapore’s Shannon Tan has improved her finish in Major championships throughout the 2026 season and the month of July was no different. After a top-20 finish in Evian, the 2025 LET Order of Merit winner produced a final round of 69 (-2) at Royal Lytham & St Annes to end the week in T6.
Expert opinion: “Last season Shannon Tan ticked many boxes en route to becoming LET number one. Now the Singaporean has shown she belongs in elite company. Major after major in 2026, Shannon Tan has got better and better culminating in a T6 finish at Royal Lytham & St Annes at the AIG Women’s Open.”
Esther Henseleit (Germany)
Top-10s: 2
Germany’s Esther Henseleit always enjoys her time in the United Kingdom and this year was no different as she recorded a fourth-place finish at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open. The two-time LET winner then came close to a first Major title sinking a clutch birdie putt on 18 to make the playoff before ultimately losing out to Japan’s Shiho Kuwaki.
Expert opinion: “July was a statement month for Esther Henseleit, a top-10 at the Women’s Scottish Open was followed by a runner-up finish at the AIG Women’s Open. Her clutch long-range birdie on the 72nd hole forced a playoff where she narrowly missed out on the championship, but there was still plenty to celebrate as it secured her automatic qualification to Team Europe at the Solheim Cup.”
