NADAUD ENJOYING BEING SURROUNDED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT HOME MAJOR

Nastasia Nadaud

Nastasia Nadaud had a whirlwind end to the 2025 Ladies European Tour (LET) season winning the final event of the season and clinching third place in the Order of Merit.

The Frenchwoman then headed to LPGA Q-Series where she secured her card for 2026 and has been mainly playing in the United States this season.

Nadaud has played in two Major championships already in 2026 and will be teeing it up at the Amundi Evian Championship this week.

However, the main difference being that Nadaud is from Chambery which is not too far away from this week’s venue of Evian-les-Bains and considers Evian Resort her second home course.

“It’s amazing because I have spent almost all year in the United States,” said Nadaud. “I came back to my parents last week for a bit, so that was nice. It was nice to enjoy good food. I got to go see my friends and coaches. Seeing a familiar environment was really nice. It feels good to be back, I’m looking forward to it.

“It’s an honour to have Amundi as a partner in my team. They’re doing a great job for women’s golf with this event and a few others too. It’s unbelievable what they’re doing. The course is in great shape as well. It feels very good to play, it’s my second home course.”

The 21-year-old is one of 132 players teeing it up in the Amundi Evian Championship which sees the players compete for a purse of $9.1 million USD.

Nadaud has had a steady rookie season on the LPGA making nine cuts including at the Chevron Championship and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

The Frenchwoman’s best result of the season was 14th place at the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass and she has climbed to number 88 in the Rolex Rankings.

She explained: “It’s been great on the LPGA. I didn’t have much time to adapt to it, btu I feel like I adapted pretty well. I found a good group of people to travel with which has been helping a lot.

“I’ve been very much enjoying it. You’re basically playing with the best players in the world every week, so it’s a big challenge, but it’s been pretty steady. Nothing crazy, but nothing too bad as well. It’s just getting in shape and getting better every week. I love it.

“It’s been pretty fast. One year ago, I would have never thought I would come back here and say I’m playing on the LPGA, and this is my third Major this year. Especially during my weeks off, I think oh this is happening. It happened so quick, it’s hard to soak it in sometimes and I don’t have the time to realise it.”

Despite knowing Evian Resort very well, Nadaud has not visited the course since the 2025 edition of the tournament, so has played it with the new changes for the first time this week.

She is excited for the week ahead especially as she will be supported by family, friends and people from her golf club.

“It’s been a year since I played here,” Nadaud added. “I knew there would be some changes, but it doesn’t change much except for 18. That’s a big difference with the bunker on the right off the tee. Then the first green is very big now. It’ll be an interesting setup, it’s going to be a good week.

“I’m still not used to Major weeks, but it’s becoming more part of a routine. Any tournament, I don’t have any expectations and my focus is just on myself. Having a good process, a good mindset and positive attitude which my caddie Michele is helping with. I will just try to enjoy it. I know a lot of people from my club and a few friends are going to come, as well as my family. It’s going to be good weather, great views and great food.”

Nadaud will tee it up in the first round at 1.48 pm (local time) alongside Germany’s Leonie Harm and Thailand’s Chanettee Wannasaen.
