METRAUX EXCITED TO START NEXT CHAPTER AFTER SPECIAL WEEK AT EVIAN

Switzerland’s Kim Metraux had her family and friends by her side at the 2026 Jabra Ladies Open de France as she teed it up in her final Ladies European Tour (LET) event before welcoming her first child.

The Swiss star, who is from Lausanne, had her husband Rodolphe caddying for her at Evian Resort with her parents supporting from the sidelines.

Despite missing the cut by one, Metraux was delighted to play her final event before going on maternity so close to home.

“I tried to enjoy every second as much as I could,” she said. “Obviously, at times there was a bit of frustration missing some short putts for birdies.

“Other than that, there wouldn’t be any better place to finish at having all the family around me. My grandma came today and I had some other friends come yesterday. It’s pretty special to be so close to home and have all this support.”

Metraux has made eight LET appearance during the 2026 season including her best finish of the year with 11th place at the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius.

The 31-year-old has been adapting her game throughout her pregnancy, but already has a different perspective with her new arrival due in the summer.

She continued: “Mauritius was a dream week and after that it became a bit trickier. Germany, it was really cold, so I was not hitting the ball as far as I usually do which was a challenge and then the massive heat in Morocco.

“I tried to do the best I could and enjoy every second and give the best that I had and whatever’s coming now helps put things in perspective when things don’t go too well on the golf course. I’m really excited for that.”

With a few months of her pregnancy left, Metraux is now on maternity leave from playing in LET events; however, she is not going to stop playing just yet as she has some commitments before taking the rest of the summer off.

She added: “It’s weird to say I am on leave already! I have a few Pro-Ams and some sponsor days and then a week of holiday coming up. I’m excited for that and just enjoying spending some summertime at home. I haven’t done that in a while, so that’ll be nice.

“I think it would definitely be great to come back. Obviously, we’ll have to see how things go and how long it takes, but I definitely want to be back on the LET.”
