Smilla Tarning Soenderby

Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby won the inaugural edition of the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius at the stunning Constance Belle Mare Plage. With her mum Kirsten alongside her for the first time as a professional, the Dane rolled in birdies on the 15th and 18th holes to seal her second LET title.

Expert opinion: “Playing in paradise, your mum on the bag for the first time on the LET, a player in the top 50 in the world trying to stop you, and all while battling the mental demons you’ve spoken so openly about. Smilla Soenderby conquered all at the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius. Almost three years after her first LET win and in the stunning setting by the Indian ocean with mother Kirsten by her side, she delivered a champion’s performance.”

Leonie Harm (Germany)

Expert opinion: “If winning is about the journey, no-one can come close to the one travelled by Leonie Harm. Her life story may be remarkable, her performance at the tough Green Eagle at the Amundi German Masters was spectacular. A display that highlighted her resilience and talent sealing the victory in style with birdies at 17 and 18. Leonie Harm was truly the home heroine in Hamburg.”
