- The Campo Europa (Europa Course) at La Cala Resort in Málaga will host the Ladies European Tour (LET) event between 26-29 November
- The tournament maintains its commitment to Andalucía and the Costa del Sol as the best setting for the finest LET golfers
La Cala Resort, in Mijas (Málaga), will host this year’s Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho. The tournament, from 26 to 29 November, is expected to be the final event of the 2026 Ladies European Tour (LET) season.
The tournament continues its commitment to Andalucía and the Costa del Sol as its natural setting, strengthening the connection between the Women’s Spanish Open and one of Europe’s most renowned golf destinations, recognised both for the quality of its courses and its organisational expertise. In this context, Mijas further consolidates its position as one of the key golfing hubs on the Costa del Sol, boasting a well-established offering and a long-standing tradition linked to the sport.
The championship will be played on the Campo Europa, one of three courses designed by Cabell B. Robinson at this prestigious resort. It is a layout noted for its strategic character, placing greater emphasis on precision in approach shots than on power from the tee. It is a well-balanced course, where the tee shot clearly shapes the options on each hole, particularly due to its well-protected and undulating greens, whose slopes demand precise reading.
The River Ojén forms an integral part of the course, featuring on several holes. Together with the variety of elevated tees and changes in direction, it requires players to maintain a high level of accuracy throughout the round, combining holes that reward aggressive play with others where course management is crucial. In this sense, the Campo Europa presents itself as a fair test, where consistency and control of play often prove decisive.
Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort, said: “It is a privilege for La Cala Resort to host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España and welcome the LET to our facilities. This tournament represents the excellence of European women’s golf and aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering world-class experiences, both on and off the course.”
Regarding the course design, Corte-Real added: “The Campo Europa will provide a comprehensive challenge for the players, where strategy, precision and decision-making will be key. We are confident that, together with our infrastructure and the quality of the destination, we will offer an ideal setting for a season finale befitting an event of this magnitude.”
Widely recognised on the international golf stage, La Cala stands out for the scale and quality of its offering: three 18-hole championship courses and a 9-hole par-3 short course, totalling 63 holes and representing the largest integrated golf offering within a single resort in Spain. This is complemented by a comprehensive range of hotel, dining, wellness, real estate and lifestyle services.
In this way, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho will once again bring together the top players from the Ladies European Tour, competing both for the title and for the honour of finishing the season at the summit.
The 2025 edition crowned France’s Nastasia Nadaud, who at just 21 years of age claimed her first victory on the LET, delivering an outstanding weekend performance to become the youngest player ever to win the Open.
With this new venue, the tournament looks ahead to an edition featuring a course with a clearly defined profile, where strategy, precision and course management will determine the outcome in the LET season’s decisive closing stretch.
