Fans travelling to Bernardus are in for a treat as The Netherlands hosts the Solheim Cup for the first time. With Bernardus situated close to the nation’s capital, there will be ample opportunity to combine their Solheim Cup passion and world-class golf with experiencing one of the most cultured cities in Europe.

Amsterdam is often referred to as the ‘Venice of the North,’ famed for its historic canals, its artistic heritage with its multiple world-famous museums including the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum; the Amsterdam Museum and the Stedelijk Museum. Amsterdam’s notable residents throughout its history include painters Rembrandt and Vincent van Gogh and diarist Anne Frank.

Bernardus Golf is in Cromvoirt, close to Eindhoven and easily accessible by train, within an hour of Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central, and only 20 miles from Eindhoven Airport. S-Hertogenbosch, commonly known as Den Bosch, is the closest city to Bernardus Golf and is the capital of the province of North Brabant.  Den Bosch is known for its Gothic St. John’s Cathedral, the iconic Golden Dragon Fountain and decadent Bossche Bollen pastries, a must for all visiting fans.  The birthplace of Jheronimus Bosch, considered one of the greatest artists of the Northern Renaissance, known for creating restlessly imaginative works rich in religious symbolism.

Visitors to the area can take in the ancient fortress city via a canal boat on the Binnendieze or enjoy watching the street performers from one of the many outdoor cafes in the Market Square.

Easily accessible from surrounding towns via the fast and efficient Dutch rail network, www.ns.nl,  Den Bosch will act as the main transportation hub for spectators travelling on the Solheim Cup 2026 organised shuttle service to and from the course.

Bernardus Golf is as beautiful and impressive as any previous Solheim Cup venue. Designed by renowned American golf course architect Kyle Phillips, the acclaimed championship course at Bernardus is a heathland design featuring challenging water hazards and a compact layout. Open to everyone through a day membership, it focuses on providing an exceptional experience and enjoyment. The only rule is ‘there are no rules’—it’s a place to unwind, play a world-class course with top-tier practice facilities, and enjoy the off-course offerings, including an architecturally stunning clubhouse with a Michelin-star restaurant, spa, and lodge accommodations.

Since its opening in 2018, Bernardus has hosted three editions of the KLM Dutch Open on the DP World Tour (2021-2023) and is ready and well positioned to provide a spectacular stage for the Solheim Cup 2026. As one of the premier events in women’s sports, spectators can look forward to an exceptional experience where sports, entertainment, and hospitality blend seamlessly at the highest level.

The last European edition in 2023 took place in Spain at Finca Cortesin, ending with a dramatic 14-14 tie with Europe retaining the Solheim Cup while the USA triumphed 15 ½ -12 ½ at the latest instalment in Virginia.
