Five players secured their spot in this week’s Investec South African Women’s Open through a Pre-Qualifier on Monday.

The 32nd edition of the Investec SA Women’s Open will take place from April 10-13 at Erinvale Country and Golf Estate.

A field of 36 players took to Erinvale Golf Course vying for a spot in the co-sanctioned Ladies European Tour (LET) and Sunshine Ladies Tour (SLT) event.

Northern Ireland’s Olivia Mehaffey topped the leaderboard with a round of 67 (-5) which included seven birdies to confirm her place in the field on Thursday.

Mexico’s Fernanda Lira and France’s Anne-Charlotte Mora both finished the qualifier in a share of second place having carded rounds of 69 (-3).

Three players ended the 18-hole qualifier in a share of fourth place with Norwegian duo Marianne Skarpnord and Karoline Lund, and India’s Rhea Purvi Saravanan producing a round of 70 (-2).

However, with only two spots up for grabs, the trio took to the golf course, and it was Skarpnord and Purvi who booked their place in this week’s tournament.

Of the five players to qualify, four are LET members with Skarpnord being a five-time winner and Mora having one title to her name.
